Material calibration is the process of deriving Abaqus material behaviors like elasticity and plasticity from sets of material test data. You can create material calibrations in three general steps:
Create data sets or import data sets into Abaqus/CAE.
Process these data sets using filters and tools that enable you to scale, smooth, and truncate the data and to convert the data between nominal and true forms.
Derive elasticity- and plasticity-related material behaviors such as Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio from your data sets.
To begin a new material calibration, double-click Calibrations in the Model Tree. In the Create Calibration dialog box that appears, enter a calibration name and click OK. Abaqus/CAE adds the new calibration to the Model Tree.
