80.2.6 Customizing the cap color for a view cut

In modules other than the Visualization module, you can customize the “cap” that appears when you display the portion of the cutting plane on the view cut. The Cap Color options provide two choices for customizing the cap color:

Abaqus/CAE hides the cap from the viewport if you toggle on translucency for your session; for more information, see Changing the translucency, Section 77.3. Abaqus/CAE also hides the cap from the resulting file when you choose a vector-based format to save a viewport image or to export viewport data to a file. For images the cap is hidden when you save the image in SVG format or when you save the image in PS or EPS format and specify Vector as the Image format from the PS Options dialog box or the EPS Options dialog box. For exports of viewport data the cap is hidden if you select VRML or 3DXML as the export format.
