In modules other than the Visualization module, you can customize the “cap” that appears when you display the portion of the cutting plane on the view cut. The Cap Color options provide two choices for customizing the cap color:
Select to display the current colors of each component in the model on the cutting plane. Abaqus/CAE changes the coloring of the model components on the cutting plane dynamically as you reposition the plane or change the color coding selections.
Select to display the entire cap with a fixed color. Abaqus/CAE displays that color for all components on the cutting plane and does not change the color as you move the plane or change the color coding selections.
To customize the cap color for a view cut:
From the main menu bar, select ToolsView Cut
Manager.
The View Cut Manager dialog box appears.
Click Options.
The View Cut Options dialog box appears.
From the list of Cap Color options, select one of the following:
Click to color the cap using the current color coding settings for each component that intersects the view cut.
Click , then select a cap color from the Select Color dialog box that appears to display the selected color for the entire portion of the model displayed on the cut. For more information about selecting a new color, see “Customizing colors,” Section 3.2.9.
Click OK.
