4.4 Geometry repair for shells and solid parts that contain multiple cells

Benefits: Abaqus/CAE now enables you to use six additional tools in the Geometry Edit toolset—repair small edges, repair small faces, replace faces by extending neighboring faces, repair slivers in shell or solid parts, convert to analytical representation, and convert to precise representation—to perform repairs of shell or solid parts that contain multiple cells. This enhancement expands the scope of the geometry repair options in Abaqus/CAE.

Description: You can now repair small edges, repair small faces, replace faces by extending neighboring faces, repair slivers, convert entities to an analytical representation, and convert entities to a precise representation in shell or solid parts containing multiple cells. These six Geometry Edit toolset options were previously limited to part geometry that contained only a single cell.

    ToolsGeometry Repair: Edge: Repair small edges
    ToolsGeometry Repair: Face: Repair small faces, Replace faces, or Repair sliver
    ToolsGeometry Repair: Part: Convert to analytical or Convert to precise
