The system configurations on which this release of Abaqus was developed and prepared for shipment by SIMULIA are listed below. The system configurations and requirements may change between releases or maintenance deliveries. The latest system configuration information, including any additional supported platforms and the Abaqus programs available on those platforms, can be found under the System Information section of the Support page at www.simulia.com. In most cases Abaqus is compatible with later versions of the operating system software; however, it is usually not compatible with earlier versions.
Abaqus/CAE and Abaqus/Viewer are supported on a limited number of platforms. For more information, see the latest system configuration information as described above.
The following conditions apply to the system configurations:
A FORTRAN compiler is required for compiling user subroutines but is not required for running Abaqus without user subroutines.
The MPI components must be installed to run the MPI-based parallel implementation of Abaqus; otherwise, they are not required. Please check the systems information web page mentioned above for supported MPI software and hardware interconnects.
The latest requirements for viewing Abaqus documentation, including supported web browsers (for HTML documentation) and PDF viewers (for PDF documentation), can be found on the systems information web page mentioned above.
Future releases of Abaqus 6.9 Extended Functionality are not expected to support platforms beyond those listed below.
