Abaqus plug-ins execute Abaqus Scripting Interface and Abaqus GUI Toolkit commands, and they provide a way to customize Abaqus/CAE for your particular needs or preferences. By default, several kernel and GUI example plug-ins are provided with Abaqus/CAE, as described in Chapter 77, “Abaqus plug-ins,” of the Abaqus/CAE User's Manual. The Abaqus 6.9 Extended Functionality release of Abaqus/CAE also includes a few additional plug-ins. These additional plug-ins are stored in the following file:
abaqus_dir\6.9-n\abaqus_plugins\additional_plugins.zipwhere abaqus_dir is the Abaqus parent directory.
To install the additional plug-ins, extract the contents of additional_plugins.zip to the directory abaqus_dir\6.9-n\abaqus_plugins. The installed plug-ins are accessible through the Plug-ins menu on the main menu bar in Abaqus/CAE. For a brief description of the installed plug-ins, select Plug-insAbout Plug-ins from the main menu bar; see “How can I get information about a plug-in?,” Section 76.3 of the Abaqus/CAE User's Manual, for more information.
The additional plug-ins are intended for use with Abaqus/CAE 6.9-EF, and they may not be available in future releases.
