A minimum of 1 GB of free physical memory is required to run Abaqus; at least 2 GB of free physical memory is recommended for adequate performance. If Abaqus is page faulting excessively, additional memory will reduce the page-fault rate, as well as the execution time. The requirements are highly job dependent. Abaqus will perform better if more memory is available; to run large problems, significantly more memory than the minimum is required.
